Who we are

CryptKeeper is operated by Duveon LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company in the USA, and will be the seller of record for every purchase. "We" means Duveon LLC.

Accepting these terms

By downloading, installing or using CryptKeeper, or by requesting a Pro key, you accept these terms. You must be 18 or older.

Your licence

CryptKeeper Pro is a single-user licence for the CryptKeeper app: one person, one licence. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and includes free updates across the current major version ([PLACEHOLDER: define version range]). A later major version may be sold separately. You may not resell, share or transfer your licence or key.

Pro licences are available for purchase on request. There is no checkout on this site: email us and we will arrange payment and send your key. Testers who share feedback can also ask for a free beta key instead, which is for testing only.

Linux builds for Pro licence holders are provided on request and may be delivered after purchase.

Delivery

We email Pro keys by hand, usually within 24 hours of your request or of your payment clearing. If you do not get a working key, contact us and we will resend it or refund you.

Beta software

CryptKeeper is private beta software, provided "as is". Features may change or be removed, and bugs may exist, including bugs that affect your files. Keep independent backups of anything important. Beta builds are Apple Silicon only and not notarized; our install steps remove the macOS quarantine flag, which reduces the protection macOS gives unsigned apps. Intel Macs and Windows are planned for launch, and Linux builds for Pro licence holders are provided on request. None of those platforms has a public download today.

Your files

CryptKeeper encrypts folders on your Mac, but it cannot recover a lost password or recovery key, and neither can we. You are responsible for your password, your recovery key and your backups. CryptKeeper needs macFUSE, which you install separately; it is not our software and has its own licence.

Price and payment

Pro is $14.99 USD one-time, and you can buy it now by asking us. There is no checkout on this site. We take payment through Zaprite, our payment provider, which supports Bitcoin (on-chain or Lightning) and, once card payments are enabled there, card payments processed by Stripe through Zaprite. Your use of Zaprite and Stripe is also subject to their terms. We will never receive your card number or your Bitcoin private keys. If we ever open a checkout on this site, this page will say so before it goes live.

Refunds

14-day refund, no questions asked, on anything you have paid us — including a licence for a platform whose build has not shipped yet. Email support@duveon.com from the purchase email within 14 days of payment. Refunds go back the way you paid where the provider allows it; Bitcoin payments are refunded in BTC for the USD amount paid, at the rate when the refund is processed, to an address you provide.

Taxes

Prices are in USD. Customers are responsible for any taxes, VAT or duties that apply in their jurisdiction. Where we are required to collect sales tax, we will show it before payment once sales open.

Our intellectual property

CryptKeeper, its name and its code are ours. You get a licence to use the app, not ownership of it. The app includes third-party open-source components with their own licences — for example gocryptfs (MIT). Their licences still apply.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, CryptKeeper is provided without warranties of any kind. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Export

You may not buy or use CryptKeeper if you are in a US-embargoed country or on a US sanctions list.

Ending this agreement

You may stop using CryptKeeper at any time. We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms.

Privacy

Our privacy page explains what we collect and why, and forms part of these terms.

Changes

If we make a material change we will update this page, its effective date and its version, and note the change on the site. It does not apply retroactively to a purchase you already made, except where the law requires.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, and disputes belong in the courts of Wyoming. This does not remove consumer protections you are entitled to where you live.
